Hyundai is back at the 2015 Seoul Motor Show with another new crossover concept, this time a three-door urban warrior dubbed the Enduro.

Hyundai Enduro Crossover Concept debuts at Seoul Motor Show

South Korea has its own Seoul Motor Show running at the moment – at the same time as this year’s New York Show – and as it’s Hyundai’s home show they’ve turned up with a familiar theme but a new concept – the Hyundai Enduro Crossover, inspired, it seems, by enduro rally cycles.
Where that fits the Enduro in to future production plans we’re not entirely sure, but Hyundai say they’re aiming it at city dwellers with energetic and athletic lifestyles. Which is probably a demographic loved by designers, but one you’d find tough to actually discover in the real world.
Still, those energetic (and athletic) city dwellers will get a decent looking three-door crossover with big, black extended wheelarches, a refreshed take on Hyundai’s grill, which is flanked by chrome blades, aerodynamic blades on the C-pillars, steps to reach the roof for loading and a drawer in the back bumper for lifestyle accessories. Really.
Hyundai didn’t see fit to let us have a photo of the Enduro’s interior (beyond a birds-eye sketch) but we’re told it’s organic, driver-centric, has a steering wheel and door handles inspired by road bikes, and expresses sensuality and dynamism that coexists with toughness and sophistication. Really. Again.
Unlike the Intrado, the Enduro comes with a proper ICE – a 2.0 litre turbo petrol with 7-Speed DCT ‘box – and could point to a production car.
But it’s far more likely to be just bit of motor show eye candy.
