BBC releases the first 2016 TOP GEAR video trailer
The BBC has released the first video trailer for the new Top Gear with Chris Evans and Matt Leblanc ahead of a May start for the show.
There’s been plenty of stories of trouble coming out of the new Top Gear production camp – from hooning at the Cenotaph to Chris Evans’ prima dona behaviour – but despite it all it looks like the new Top Gear team have been busy, judging by this first video trailer for the new Top Gear series. The new trailer features a plethora of supercars (we’ll let you watch the video to see just what Evans and co have been playing with), as well as a bit of dune action and Evans and Leblanc on their Reliant Robin outing to Blackpool.
We even get to see, although not in graphic detail, Evans losing his breakfast thanks to some sideways action with Sabine Scmitz behind the wheel, and a glimpse of Jenson Button driving Evans. Which may explain the rumour that Button was joining Top Gear as a presenter.
The BBC has managed to pack a lot in to a one minute clip, and it does look like production values are up to the usual Top Gear standards. We don’t get to see Chris Harris, Rory Reid or Eddie Jordan, but Evans, Leblanc and Schmitz make an appearance.
The new Top Gear is due to start in May 2016 in the UK.
