The Mazda2 Red Edition (pictured) costs from £14,995
The Mazda2 Red Edition launches as a limited run model – just 400 – delivering a splash of colour to the interior, more equipment and prices from £14,995.
The Mazda2 is a good little car – and deserves to sell in bigger numbers than it does – but perhaps this new Mazda2 Red Edition will tempt some new buyers in?The Mazda2 Red Edition is limited to just 400 units, and although you may reasonably suppose a red edition car would come with a red paint job, you’d be wrong.
In fact, the Red Edition comes in either Snowflake White Pearlescent or Black Mica paint, but it’s the interior that gets more than a splash of red, with red cloth trim on the seats, red knee pad inserts, red door trim inserts and a red and white decor panel on the dash. A veritable sea of red.
Exterior titivation for the Red Edition include Soul Red accents on the mirrors, rear spoiler and underskirt, and there’s a set of £300 option 15″ Dark Gunmetal alloys on offer too.
Based on the Mazda2 90 PS SE-L Nav, the Red Edition also gets all its spec, including 7″ touchscreen with Sat Nav, and comes with Mazda’s 90 PS SKYACTIV-G petrol engine.
Peter Allibon of Mazda Motors UK said:
With free-of-charge metallic paint and its striking styling enhancements, the Mazda2 Red Edition is a colourful addition to the Mazda2 range, that I’m sure will be popular with younger buyers.
So if you’re a younger buyer, and even if you’re not, the Mazda2 Red Edition at £14,995 is a decent buy and on sale from 1 September 2016.
