Mitsubishi Outlander Keiko Special Edition is an Outlander diesel with added goodies

The Mitsubishi Outlander Keiko Special Edition arrives in the UK as a better-equipped, diesel-engined version of Mitsubishi’s Outlander. Costs from £27,999.

It would be easy to forget that the Mitsubishi Outlander SUV is more than just an AFV star thanks to the plug-in hybrid take on the Outlander, which has been mopping up PHEV sales thanks to its hugely appealing tax benefits.

But Mitsubishi do still cater for those who haven’t yet discovered the benefits of PHEVs – including private motorists who don’t get the same tax benefits as business users – with a diesel-engined versions of their very competent SUV.

Now, to get buyers to look afresh at the diesel-engined Outlander, we get a Special Edition Keiko model offering extra goodies to tempt buyers in to Mitsubishi showrooms.

Based on the well-equipped Outlander 3, the Keiko Special Edition comes with leather seats and Mitsubishi’s Global Navigation (MGN) unit.

MGN comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless Smartphone integration, a 6.5″ screen, DAB, TomTom Nav and CD/DVD.

Other stuff as standard includes Climate, Privacy Glass, Keyless, stop/start, seven seats, 18″ alloys and a 2.2 litre diesel engine delivering official economy of 53.3mpg (48.7mpg for the auto version) and on-demand 4WD.

Now on sale at Mitsubishi’s Uk dealers, the Outlander Keiko costs from £27,999 complete with a five-year warranty.
