The new Hyundai i30 N has been given a limited run First Edition by Hyundai Germany to kick things off, but it sold out just two days after going on sale.
Earlier this month the Hyundai i30 N was finally revealed – after years of teasing – and it looks to have all it needs to compete against cars like the Focus St and Golf GTI.A subtle performance look – more GTI than STI – combined with up to 271bhp if you opt for the Performance Package (247bhp without it) and 0-62mph in 6.1 seconds means the i30 N certainly has all the ingredients it needs to make an impact.
The i30 N isn’t going on sale until after its debut at Frankfurt in September, but Hyundai in Germany thought they’d test the water by putting a First Edition version of the i30 N on sale this month, priced at €30,900.
The First Edition offered a prototype test drive in September, a test at the Nurburgring in October with Albert Biermann to learn how to get the best out of the car, Sports Suspension, electronic diff lock, flap control for the exhaust and Navigation Pack.
Hyundai were cautious with the i30 N First Edition, offering just 100 cars. But they all sold out in the first 48 hours.
Which augers well for i30 N sales when it does officially go on sale.
