Hyundai Tucson N Line
The Hyundai Tucson N Line arrives as Hyundai gives its popular SUV the sporty N Line makeover, with new 48v mild hybrid diesel option too.
We had a tease for this, the new Hyundai Tucson N Line, last month, and now Hyundai has revealed its sporty N Line makeover for their best-selling SUV, not with more go – that will arrive with a proper Tucson N – but with sporty looks that give us a good idea of what the N version will look like.Just like the i30 N Line, the Tucson N Line gets a sensible level of sporty addenda, with new bumpers and a dark mesh grille with dark chrome surround, dark 18″ alloys, gloss black mirrors and spoiler, ‘Boomerang’ running lights, darkened window frames and body-coloured handles. Inside there’s N-Branding for the leather-suede sports seats, de rigueur red stitching, alloy pedals and leather ‘N’ gear shift.
There are minor tweaks beyond the cosmetics too, with stiffer springs offering a bit more resistance and steering tweaked for a bit more feel.
That entry-level engine is a new 1.6 litre 48v Mild Hybrid with 134bhp and the promise of improvements of 11 per cent over the non-48v engine, with the 175bhp 1.6 T-GDi also available.
Hyundai hasn’t decided how much they want for the Tucson N Line yet, but expect it to be a bit more than the SE Nav when it goes on sale in May.
