Electric Porsche Taycan interior PROPERLY revealed with Porsche’s first digital instruments

The electric Porsche Taycan interior has been properly revealed, featuring a fully-configurable digital instrument screen and more digital displays.

A few days ago we had the first look at the dashboard of the new electric Porsche Taycan, and it looked like the Taycan was getting Porsche’s first fully digital instrument panel. And it is.

Porsche has now revealed photos of the interior of the Taycan – well, the dashboard and front at least – confirming the Taycan is a departure from the Porsche interiors to date, although it still manages to look Porsche-familiar.

In fact the Taycan has up to four digital displays on offer, with the 16.8″ configurable driver display curving across the dash behind the steering wheel, a 10.9″ infotainment screen in the centre, a matching (optional) screen for the passenger and an 8.4″ portrait screen below the centre infotainment screen with haptic feedback featuring control functions.

But despite the new digital screens, the digital instruments look familiar Porsche – although, as there’s no need for it, there’s no centre rev counter – and can be configured to deliver what the driver wants, with a ‘Classic’ configuration delivering digital equivalents of Porsche’s usual round dials but with a power meter in the middle.

There’s also ‘Hey Porsche’ voice recognition, fancy motors to open and close the air vents, handwriting recognition for inputting Sat Nav info and even a new non-leather interior option featuring recycled ‘Ray-Tex’ material.

We now have less than tow weeks before the Porsche Taycan is fully revealed ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show.
