Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Italia
The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Italia is a limited run of just 15 Alfa 4C Spiders heading for the USA only. Could it be the 4C’s final goodbye?
The Alfa Romeo 4C arrived back in 2013 and promised so much.Alfa poured a lot in to the 4C – even giving it a carbon fibre tub like proper high-end supercars – but despite promising much it was flawed, it cost too much and it just hasn’t really sold.
Alfa has already said goodbye to the 4C Coupe and it looks likely the 4C Spider will go the same road. But before that happens Alfa is delivering a special edition model – the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Italia.
Alfa don’t have high expectations of the 4C Spider Italia as it’s only going to be available in the US, and just 15 are being offered.
Alfa also hasn’t exactly gone overboard to make the 4C Spider Italia anything very special, and they’ve nicked the ‘Italia’ moniker from Maranello in the process, perhaps to convey the 4C offers more than it does.
In fact, apart from the Italia badge, you only really get a posh paint job, with ‘Misano Blue’ metallic the only option, a paint job not available on other 4Cs.
You’ll also get a black front air intake and rear diffuser and a smattering of ‘4C Spider Italia’ badges. And that’s about it.
The titivations cost around £4k on top of the normal 4C Spider. Not that you can have one in the UK.
