The 2016 Bentley Driving on Ice event – running through February 2016 – will include the new Bentley Bentayga SUV on ice for the first time.
Bentleys may not seem the perfect car for playing on ice, but with a four-wheel drive setup on the Continental range they’re really surprisingly capable (tyres permitting). And they also work surprisingly well on a rally stage, as Top Gear’s James May discovered (and survived relatively unscathed).
But however capable Bentley’s cars are on ice, they’re not exactly designed for extreme driving conditions – until now.
The new Bentley Bentayga SUV is the first off-road car Bentley has ever produced, so it’s no surprise they’re keen to include it in their regular ‘Driving on Ice‘ adventure, with the 2016 event having the Bentayga on hand as well as a range of Bentley models, including the Continental GT3-R.
If you’re keen to be one of the first to get behind the wheel of a Bentayga in properly challenging conditions, then you can stump up the cash (from €11,900 per person) to go and play for a couple of days with Bentley’s Ice Driving Team – led by Juha Kankkunen, four-time world Rally champion and ice speed record holder – at the Chalet Ruka Peak in Finland.
If you want to go and play (and if you can afford it, why wouldn’t you?) then you can head over to Bentley’s Events page to book up.
