When Mercedes launched the E-Class based CLS as a four-door Coupe, the car world thought they’d gone mad. But the CLS proved to be an individual car with real appeal, and it ended up spawning other four-door coupes from other car makers.
Now Mercedes has decided to extend the CLS franchise with a coupe estate – the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake (although it probably won’t get the Shooting Brake name when it arrives) – which is planned to launch in 2012, either at the Geneva Motor Show in the Spring or later in the year at Paris.
