The VW BlueSport concept debuted at the Detroit Motor Show in January, and offered the prospect of an economical, fun roadster from the VW group. But at the time VW made it clear that the car would have to work across three of its brands to be viable. VW are obviously up for the project, […]
Skoda Yeti rolls out
Skoda revealed the Skoda Yeti at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and has announced this week that the first car has rolled off the production line in Kvasiny in the Czech Republic. The Skoda Yeti is a promising, rufty-tufty ‘SmallRoader’, based on parent company VW’s Tiguan. But the Skoda holds the promise of more […]
Skoda Ocatvia vRS gets a new face
The Skoda Octavia vRS is a cracking car – one of Skoda’s best. Great performance and handling and not at all bad looking. Even better, it comes as a saloon and an estate – fun for every occasion. In keeping with the changes made to the rest of the Octavia range late last year, Skoda […]

Limited Edition Skoda Octavia vRS launched
Skoda has packaged up a limited edition of the Octavia vRS to tempt buyers to buy, and to be honest it’s not a bad deal. But then, nor is the regular vRS. The older you are, the harder it is to get over the ‘Skoda Skips’ of the past. But even for the middle-aged, Skoda […]
Grab a ‘VAT Free’ Skoda Octavia
I think we’re going to have to have a ‘Sign of the Times’ category soon – so many pieces refer to the current economic mess. In yet another ‘Sign of the times’ Skoda has announced that they are now offering ‘VAT Free Octavias’ until the end of the year. No, this is not a tie-up […]
