DS 7 Crossback gets wider, and more flexible, range of options
Citroen continues to push its upmarket DS offerings with an extended range of individual options for the range-topping DS 7 Crossback.
Citroen is working to deliver a ‘Premium’ range of offerings with its DS Brand, and has been busy pushing its upmarket offerings, especially with the rang-topping DS 7 Crossback.Last year, DS managed to get the then new President Macron strapped in to an open-roof DS 7 as he paraded down the Champs-Elysées to celebrate his victory, and the ‘high-end user’ theme continued as the French Ambassador took delivery of the first DS 7 Ultra Prestige PureTech 225 in the UK.
Now it’s time to extract value from the upmarkey push, so DS are extending availability of options for the DS in the expectation buyers will be tempted to personalise more and be prepared to shell out more to do so.
On offer is OPERA: Alezan Brown Nappa leather with watchstrap design, which is a no cost option on Ultra Prestige models but which can now be specced for £2,750 on the Prestige.
Also available is DS ConnectedCAM with the Premium Safety Pack (which is already standard on the Ultra Prestige), which offers a camera system on the base of the interior mirror which can do clever stuff like record accidents and incidents, take photos outside the car and share content.
Individual options now include Webasto Smartphone heater control on PERFORMANCE Line, Prestige and Ultra Prestige models for £600, Bo-zone climate on the same models for £200, remote tailgate, keyless and start for £800 on the PERFORMANCE Line and £400 on Prestige and Ultra Prestige, and an electric panoramic roof with roof bars for £1,200 on Elegance, PERFORMANCE Line and Prestige models.
The new options, and the added flexibility, should help DS achieve bigger showroom spends.
