Ford Fiesta Active goes on sale in the UK
The Ford Fiesta Active – Ford’s Crossover take on the new Fiesta – goes on sale in the UK in Active 1, Active B&O PLAY and Active X trim with prices starting from £17,790.
The Ford Fiesta may still be the best-selling car in the UK, but Ford are trying to stave-off competition from funky little urban crossovers and SUVs with their own mildly rufty-tufty take on the new Fiesta with the Fiesta Active. Now on sale in the UK, the Fiesta Active comes with a body kit to look a bit more butch, raised ride height, roof rails, Fogs, 17″ alloys and what Ford are calling “rough-road suspension”, as well as a choice of three driving modes – Eco, Normal and Slippery.
Standard equipment on the entry-level Active 1 trim includes rear seat belt minder, auto lights, quick clear windscreen, TPMS, electric windows, privacy glass and AIr Con, with Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Fiesta B&O Play comes, you’ll be shocked to learn, with a B&O sound system with 360-degree sound and 10 speakers, as well as black roof, black roof rails and black door mirrors and a yellow colour theme, Cruise, auto wipers and a 4.2″ TFT instrument cluster.
The poshest of the Active range is the Active X and it gets part leather upholstery, heated front seats, power foldable door mirrors with puddle lights, Ford SYNC 3 Nav, DAB, 8″ touchscreen, Keyless, rear-view camera and parking sensors. Options include a range of loud colours and a Panoramic roof.
The main engine option is Ford’s 1.0 litre Ecoboost with 84bhp, 99bhp, 123bhp or 138bhp options, and a single 1.5 litre TDCi diesel with 84bhp, all with stop-start and active grille shutter.
The Ford Fiesta Active is now on sale at Ford’s UK dealers, with the Active 1 starting at £17,790, the Active B&O Play at £19,190 and the Active X at £20,290.
