I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised when news stories on cars, particularly new cars, seem to come one on top of another. After all, for the majority of stories the car maker is building up an appetite for the new car, so wants to keep feeding stuff out.
And so it has been lately with the Citroen Supercar – the GTbyCitroen. We’ve had the news that the UK debut of the GT Citroen will be at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July – where it will tackle Goodwood’s Hillclimb – and just a few weeks before we learnt that the GTbyCitroen was going to make an appearence and put in a parade lap at Le Mans.
And now, no doubt because the GTbyCitroen is in the UK for Goodwood, Citroen has been out playing at London Tourist – blatting around town in the GT. The excuse was that they were recreating some of the scenes from the Grand Turismo 5 Playstation game that the GTbyCitroen was actually created for.
So we’ve got pictures of the GTbyCitroen with Buckingham Palace; the GTbyCitroen at Piccadilly Circus; the GTbyCitroen at Nelson’s Column…
But actually, it does look good. Nice to give it some perspective, which is easier when it’s in familiar surroundings. But next up we’ll find out if it’s got the go to get up the Hillclimb at Goodwood.
Now that will be interesting.
