Hyundai Kona teased again
A new small SUV from Hyundai – the Hyundai Kona – is heading for a public debut this summer, and Hyundai are teasing the Kona’s arrival with a new image.
Hyundai started the month with the first tease for their new compact SUV – the Hyundai Kona – and are closing the month in exactly the same vein, with a new tease and a (slightly) more revealing photo (above). But as well as the new tease image, we also get a few more details on Hyundai’s new small SUV as Hyundai work to get the attention of those looking for a small urban warrior like the Nissan Juke.
The new Kona will sit below the Tucson and Santa Fe in Hyundai’s SUV lineup, and despite its compact size it is going to come with the option of four-wheel drive and the coveted high riding stance.
From the cascading grille at the front flanked by twin headlights and LED running lights to the bold rear end and wide stance, Hyundai say the Kona’s progressive appearance will have aggressive body styling. Which suggests Hyundai may be aiming for a funky sub-compact SUV rather than a safe look.
The new Kona is another step on the way to the plan of 30 new Hyundai models and derivatives in the next four years, and its aim to be the leading Asian car brand in Europe in the same timescale.
The new Hyundai Kona is due to debut in the summer, so don’t be surprised to see a few more teases before then.
