Hyundai research says we worry about pollution – so drive a NEXO FCEV
Hyundai has been busy researching British concerns on air pollution, discovering 20% worry about it on a daily basis.
It can’t have been a big shock to Hyundai when they researched what concerns Brits have about air pollution to discover that one in five think about it on a daily basis.Let’s face it, London’s air quality isn’t great most of the time, and with 15 per cent or so of the UK’s population living in London you’d expect almost every one of them to think about what they’re breathing in every day, so a one in five for the UK as a whole means those outside congested urban areas probably don’t think about it at all.
Still, of the 2,000 UK adults persuaded to give their views, 74 per cent believed they should do more to lead a cleaner life, 56 per cent worried about the effect on children, and Londoners were the most worried (quelle surprise) followed by those in Edinburgh and Manchester.
Of course, Hyundai’s survey and research isn’t just altruistic – or a statement of the bleedin’ obvious – but the second pitch in a week to tell us our air is bad and the new Hyundai Nexo FCEV can fix it if we were to drive one in areas with high air pollution.
Roping in technology expert Georgie Barrat to interview a family about their concerns, Georgie said:
…it’s understandable that parents are worried about what their children are breathing in. Hyundai’s NEXO is one of the solutions that could help address our air quality problem and it was great to see it in action. Refuelling with hydrogen was surprisingly quick and easy – just like filling up a petrol or diesel car – and it’s incredible that the only by-product is water. But what I found most impressive is how NEXO actually cleans the polluted air around it as it drives – it’s like a road hoover!
Message received and understood. The Hyundai Nexo is brilliant and cleans the air as it drives. Move on.
