The Kia Sportage 2010 'WOW'. Video below
Kia has now started the marketing campaign for the 2010 Kia Sportage with a trendy CGI video of their new c-segment compact SUV / Crossover.
You’ve got to hand it to the Koreans. They have certainly picked up the whole car making game in a way we haven’t seen since the Japanese got their act together a generation ago. Their products are now stylish, affordable and fun and, perhaps most importantly, very well marketed.
The 2010 Kia Sportage – Kia’s version of the Hyundai ix35 – got a reveal a couple of weeks ago ahead of its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show. And much to our surprise Kia have decided that they’re not just going to play at producing a butch little crossover/SUV that looks the part, they’ve even included a 4WD version so it can actually do a bit of soft-roading as well.
With the Kia Sportage now in the public consciousness it’s time to start a marketing push. And that’s where this promo video from Kia kicks off. It’s perfectly targeted at the Kia’s demographic, with a CGI Sportage strutting its stuff through a kaleidoscope landscape of trendy themes and colours. The message is that the 2010 Kia Sportage is a ‘…new kind of WOW’. Worth a watch.
We don’t have UK prices for the Sportage yet, but you can be sure they’ll be more than competitive – just as the prices for the Hyundai ix35 are. And UK buyers will have plenty of choice as Kia UK have told us that they are committed to offering the 2010 Sportage in as many guises as possible. So there’s going to be a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines (although only the 2.0 litres at first) and both FWD and 4WD.
