The Kia XCeed – Kia’s Crossover take on the new Ceed – goes on sale in the UK with prices from £20,795 and first customer cars due in September.
Is the new Kia XCeed a Crossover or an SUV? Well, it’s certainly more Crossover than SUV, although Kia consider it a fit between the the Stonic and Sportage. But however you choose to categorise it, the XCeed is on the Zeitgeist with a high-riding take on a decent Hatch.
Now, after a reveal for the XCeed last month, it’s on sale in the UK with prices starting from £20,795 0 a bit over £2k more than the Ceed Hatch – rising to £29,195 for the de rigeur First Edition XCeed in 1.4 T-GDi 138bhp 7-speed auto DCT guise.
Spec options are Kia’s simple ‘2’ or ‘3’ plus the First Edition model, with petrol and diesel engine options and a 7-speed DCT ‘box on the 1.4 T-GDi.
XCeed 2 comes with 16″ alloys, silver roof rails, rear spoiler, black mesh grille, bits of satin chrome, LED lights all round, 8″ infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, reversing camera, cloth trim, auto lights, electric windows, keyless, Air Con, Cruise, Lane Keep and Forward Collision.
XCeed 3 adds 18″ alloys, privacy Glass, heated folding mirrors, 10.25″ Infotainment, cloth and face leather trim, heated front seats and steering wheel, Climate and Pedestrian Detection.
For now, there’s also a range-topping First Edition XCeed, which comes with Panoramic roof, Dark Chrome Mesh Grille, Forward Collision, Pedestrian Detection, Smart Cruise, Blind Spot, Speed Warning, Yellow detailing on the seats, memory driver’s seat, 12.3″ TFT Instruments, JBL Sound and Wireless phone charging.
The new Kia XCeed is now on sale at Kia’s UK dealers with firts customer cars due in September.
