Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2
We’ve seen a raft of new models from Lamborghini this year – or at least derivatives of models – and the latest has just surfaced online – the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2.
If you know anything at all about Lamborghini’s, it won’t take too long to work out that this will be a 550hp V10, but with 2-wheel drive instead of the 4-wheel drive we ‘ve got used to in recent years. So think of this as a hardcore drivers Gallardo – a Superleggera.
Dropping the 4WD will shed a chunk of weight, and change the dynamic of the car from the LP560-4. It will be much livelier, and prone to oversteer at the prod of the throttle – wonderful!
This looks like it’s going to be a limited edition, with just 250 LP550-2s built. But just for a change, it seems that there won’t be a price premium over the standard LP560-4, instead expect prices around 10% less in the UK – around £135,000.
Sounds like a bargain!
