The Land Rover Discovery Sport is getting small cosmetic tweaks and Land Rover’s InControl Touch Pro Infotainment for 2017. Prices are unchanged.
The Land Rover Discovery Sport has only been with us for five minutes, but it’s already been upgraded with JLR’s latest Ingenium engines (which should arguably have been fitted from the start) and now it’s in for more upgrades for the 2016 model year.JLR are finally moving on from their ‘Atari’ infotainment, and the Disco Sport is now getting the latest InControl Touch Pro with 10.2″ touchscreen which aims to look, behave and feel like a smartphone extension.
Also on offer is the technology equivalent of asking St Anthony to find lost stuff, with the new ‘TILE’ App tagging everyday items so they can be found when they’re lost, and make sure you have them with you before you start a journey.

The Land Rover Bluetooth Tile Tags stop you losing stuff
The App works through the Disco Sport’s touchscreen but uses a smartphone App to actually do the tracking, with small Bluetooth Tile Tags attached to the stuff you need – wallet, keys, bags – and the car and App making sure they’re in range.
Land Rover reckons we waste 15 minutes a day looking for lost stuff, and the new Tile App will save a chunk of that by checking your tagged stuff is with you when you get in the car, and if not it will tell you when and where you last had them.
Other new stuff for the Sport includes a drowsiness detection system, lane departure technology and a smart speed limiter that plays electronic nanny to help keep you legal.
Four new body colours – Aruba, Carpathian Grey, Farallon Black and Silicon Silver – are added to the Sport’s palette, and there’s a new Graphite Pack which adds Dark Atlas colour to the grille, bonnet lettering and side vents, a grey roof, black mirrors and 19″ alloys and is available on the SE and SE Tech models.
The upgraded Land Rover Discovery Sport is now available to order from Land Rover’s UK dealers, and despite the updates and new technology prices still start from £31,095.
