Land Rover launch DOG-FRIENDLY Pet Packs
Land Rover has launched dog-friendly Pet Packs for its entire Land Rover and Range Rover ranges to pamper pooches as they travel in Land Rover style.
Back in February, Land Rover announced dog-friendly ‘Pet Packs’ for the Land Rover and Range Rover ranges, as they realised (it’s only taken 70 years) that a big chunk of their customers carry dogs in the car most of the time.We were a bit surprised that Land Rover hadn’t delivered as comprehensive a package of dog-friendly add-ons as Nissan managed with the X-Trail dog pack, with just a boot liner and partition included, although they were pushing Barbour goodies for dogs as an add-on.
But now it looks like re-launch time for the dog-friendly Pet Packs, as Land Rover are back again, this time with a slightly more useful set of pet-pampering bits and pieces.
Now there’s a premium quilted load space liner (rather than a rubber mat), a foldable pet carrier, an access ramp (before Land Rover told you to lower the car’s suspension for easier access), a spill resistant water bowl and a portable dog rinsing shower. The options are:
- Pet Load Space Protection Pack, £482
Includes quilted load space liner, full-height luggage partition and spill-resistant water bowl - Pet Transportation Pack, £360.37
Includes foldable pet carrier, spill-resistant water bowl and load space rubber mat - Pet Care and Access Pack, £887.56
Includes full-height luggage partition, quilted load space liner, pet access ramp and portable rinse system
Finbar McFall, Land Rover’s Product Marketing Director, said:
Our customers told us that the comfort of their dogs on car journeys is crucial. They are part of the family and we recognise that. Our new Pet Packs will allow dogs to travel in real comfort and make journeys simpler and more relaxing for animals and at the same time protect the inside of owners’ vehicles.
Prices are up a bit on the dog options we saw earlier this year, but at least now they seem properly useful.
