McLaren are joining the annual Ice Driving decamp to Switzerland by high-end car makers, offering three days in Finland in a 570S for £12,500.
In case you didn’t know, McLaren has its own division which organises events to titillate its well-heeled customers, and entice potential customer to the McLaren brand. It’s called Pure McLaren.
Pure McLaren has decided that it’s time to take their customers, and potential customers, Ice Driving – just like the ice driving exploits of Bentley – with an adventure in the wilds of Finland – at a price.
Set 200 miles inside the Arctic Circle in Finland, the McLaren adventure will give guests the chance to experience snow-covered roads and ice tracks and, say McLaren, allow guests to reach their own goals, be that learning the art of the Scandinavian Flick or just gaining confidence in tricky, slippy conditions.
On hand will be professional driver coaches from Pure McLaren, working with Test World proving ground in Ivalo to provide the ultimate ice driving experience in the driving seat of the McLaren 570S.
But it’s not just ice driving on offer, with a husky safari and snowmobile expedition part of the package too, with luxury accommodation at Javri Lodge – built by Urho Kekkonen, Finland’s longest-serving president – surrounded by the lakes and forests of Lapland.
The Pure McLaren Arctic Experience runs from January 15 to February 3 for group of up to 14 on a three night stay. It’s sure to be a treat of an event, but at £12,500 for the three days it needs to be.
