It looks like a McLaren 675 LT is heading for a debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March as a lighter, more powerful and more focused 650S.

McLaren 675 LT heading for Geneva reveal
Is the McLaren 675 LT – if that’s what this new hardcore take on the 650S is to be called – the much-anticipated McLaren that will fit between the 650S and P1? No, probably not.
All we have so far is the photo (above) McLaren has released, but it does seem certain the ‘675’ name alludes to the engine’s power – 675PS or 666bhp – which is 25bhp more than the 650S and should mean an improvement on the 650S’s 0-62mph of 3.0 seconds, and that the ‘LT’ bit stands for ‘Long Tail’, a reference to the McLaren F1 GTR Longtails that punished Le Mans in the 1990s.
Performance will also be helped by stripping out anything superfluous to shed weight, aerodynamic tweaks and more focussed modes for the suspension, engine and gearbox.
It looks like the McLaren 675 LT will debut at Geneva in March alongside the new McLaren P1 GTR as McLaren take aim at Ferrari with the two new models, by which time we should know more about McLaren’s new model.
