Mercedes has put DTM driver Susie Stoddart at the wheel of an E63 AMG Estate for a bit of on-track fun.

Unless you follow DTM racing (German Touring Cars) you may not of heard of Susie Stoddart. Unless you followed Formula Renault 8 or 9 years ago. Or Formula 3 in 2005. So you’re getting the picture – Susie Stoddart can drive.

Not only can Susie Stoddart drive, she’s British. Unless she gets beaten, then she’s Scottish. But win or lose the lady really can drive, and she’s making a name for herself in her fifth season driving a Mercedes in DTM.

So who better than Susie to shove in a Mercedes E63 AMG Estate to see what it will do? Which is exactly what Mercedes has done. Which seems to be something of a pattern. It was only April when Mercedes sent us a video of the E63 AMG saloon drifting round the track at Brooklands. Not that we’re complaining.

Or maybe it’s just that Mercedes thought it best to get a racing driver in one of their cars who could hoon for the cameras without getting nicked.
