MINI Clubman ALL4 Scrambler Concept
MINI in Italy reveals the MINI Clubman ALL4 Scrambler Concept, a high-riding, 4WD MINI Clubman Concept to celebrate 50 years of BMW in Italy.
This year marks the centenary of BMW, but, apparently, it also marks 50 years of BMW in Italy. So BMW Italy has decided to deliver this – the MINI Clubman ALL4 Scrambler Concept – to celebrate, and get in before we see a MINI Visionary Concept to celebrate the BMW centenary.BMW Italy aren’t actually saying, but we assume the Scrambler Concept is based on either the new ALL4 Clubman Cooper S or SD as it comes with MINI’s ALL4 4WD, as well as a raised ride height, plastic cladding for added butch and chunky off-road tyres.
There’s also a luggage case on the roof and extra lights at the front, and it’s all been inspired by the off-road chops and style of the BMW Scrambler R nineT bike, even down to the Clubman’s Caramel and Black interior.
There’s no indication that the Clubman ALL4 Scrambler is anything more than a one-off concept to celebrate an anniversary, but it does seem like a very sensible production car.
Take away the extreme off-road tyres and you’re left with a MINI Clubman that actually looks better for its raised ride height and plastic cladding, complete with ALL4 4WD for improved traction, and a more manageable size for city roads than the new MINI Countryman will be when it arrives later this year.
