Mini Remastered by David Brown heading for UK debut at London Motor Show
The Mini Remastered from David Brown Automotive – a new bespoke Mini from the makers of the Speedback GT – gets its UK debut at the London Motor Show.
David Brown Automotive delivered a 21st take on the Aston Martin DB5 – the David Brown Speedback GT – in 2014, and two weeks ago they delivered the follow-up – the Mini Remastered. The Mini Remastered gets its world debut at Top Marques in Monaco this week, but that’s going to be followed up in early May with a UK debut at the London Motor Show in May, where the British public will get their first chance to see what David Brown’s Mini has to offer.
The new Mini remastered will be joined by the Speedback GT as David Brown showcase what they have to offer, and hopefully pick up an order or three for their new Mini.
Buyers who do splash out on the DB Mini (at a starting price of around £50k) will get a #new’ Mini with a reconditioned 1275cc engine delivering 79bhp linked to a four-speed manual gearbox, with a brand new seamless body and chassis.
Standard equipment will include infotainment and Sat Nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Keyless, USB and push start.
The Mini Remastered also gets a leather-lined luggage space and a petrol tank painted in the contrast roof colour, and an exceptional paint finish which takes four full weeks to achieve.
Michelle Gay, David Brown Business Manager, said:
We are delighted to be exhibiting at The London Motor Show for a second year. We received a fantastic response to Speedback GT last year and are hugely excited to be making the first public debut in the UK of our second model, Mini Remastered, which is the ultimate modern classic for city driving.
If your pockets are deep enough, the Mini Remastered is an appealing buy.
