Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian SVP II – with ‘TONKA’ factor dialled up to 11

The Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian SVP II arrives as the second effort by Mitsubishi’s Special Vehicle Projects to add standout looks to the L200 workhorse. Just 250 available priced from £29,830 (+VAT).

A year ago, the Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian SVP arrived as Mitsubishi’s Special Vehicle Projects took a leaf out of McLaren’s book to deliver a madly titivated take on their L200 Pick-up. And now they’re back again with take two.

The Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian SVP II is, just like the Mark One version, a limited run of just 250 and based on the L200 Barbarian Double Cab, but with a host of goodies and visual tweaks to make it stand out from the crowd.

Half of the 250 will come in Diamond Black and the other half in Atlantic Grey, with orange highlights splashed around to make sure you can’t miss it, 17″ black and orange alloys with BF Goodrich All-Terrain tyres, big wheel arch extensions and SVP Grille and Roof Rails in black and orange.

There’s also SVP tailgate badging, colour coded bumpers, shark-fin inspired black side steps and load bed illumination with a spring assisted tailgate.

Inside there’s ‘six-pack’ leather seats with suede-like inserts with orange accents, stitching and piping, SVP logos and orange illuminated door entry guards.

Standard kit includes Smartphone Link Display, auto lights and wipers, Super Select 4WD, Keyless, Bluetooth, Cruise and reversing camera.

Engine option is the usual 2.4 litre turbodiesel with a six-speed manual or five-speed auto.

The Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian SVP II is now on sale from £35,796 (£29,830 net of VAT).
