The Mitsubishi Shogun Sport range grows in the UK with the arrival of the Shogun Sport Commercial, adding a proper CV workhorse to the UK options.
It took Mitsubishi a very long time to finally bring the Shogun Sport back to the UK, but having finally managed to do that they’re now extending the offering by offering a CV take – the new Mitsubishi Shogun Sport Commercial.
Revealed at the 2018 CV Show this week, the Shogun Sport Commercial does the obvious by removing the back seats to deliver a six-inch bulkhead and a flat floor load area, and blacking out the back windows so what’s being carried isn’t on show and looking untidy.
That new load area is a decent 1,500 litres, and the Shogun CV gets a 2.4 litre diesel engine with 178bhp, new 8-speed automatic and Mitsubishi’s Super Select II all-wheel drivetrain. It can also tow 3,100kg. So it’s a useful CV.
But despite being a CV, the Shogun Sport Commercial isn’t all hair shirt as it’s based on the range-topping Shogun Sport 4 spec, which means leather, LED lights, Climate, Keyless, auto lights and wipers headlight washers and 510W sound. There’s also Smartphone Link Display, which is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible, and a raft of safety stuff like Adaptive Cruise, Blind Spot, Collision Mitigation and more.
Mitsubishi hasn’t decided how much they’re going to charge for the Shogun Sport Commercial, but we’ll update when they have.
