New 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser on sale in the UK
The 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser has been given a bit of a facelift and goes on sale in the UK with prices starting from £32,795 for the new Utility spec, rising to £52,295 for the range-topping Invincible trim.
It’s arguable that there’s nothing in its class as competent as the Toyota Land Cruiser if what you need an SUV that really is a proper SUV. And the 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser has just got better and more affordable.Revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, the 2018 Land Cruiser gets a bit of a cosmetic titivate, some new technology and a new entry-level Utility trim.
Aimed at business users, the new Land Cruiser Utility (available in three or five-door guise from £32,795) comes with 17″ steel wheels, Bluetooth, USB, CD player (really?), Air Con, Roof Rails, Cruise and Auto lights.
The Land Cruiser Active comes in five or seven seat versions (from £39,095) and adds in 17″ alloys, rear parking sensors, Climate, Toyota Touch 2 Infotainment with 8″ Touchscreen and five doors.
Next up the rung is the five-door, seven-seat Land Cruiser Icon (from £47,495) which comes with 19″ alloys, leather, heated and ventilated front seats, LED headlights, Privacy Glass, auto wipers, Toyota Touch 2 with Go and Sat Nav and Toyota’s Safety Sense.
Top of the tree, especially for off-road, is the Land Cruiser Invincible (from £52,295), with five doors and seven seats and a spec including locking Torsen rear diff, Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS), Multi Terrain Select and Monitor, Crawl Control, 360 Panoramic Monitor, Blind Spot and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Nothing has changed under the bonnet, so you still get the very able, if less than exciting, 2.8 litre turbo diesel with 174bhp and 332lb/ft of torque.
The 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser is now on sale at Toyota’s UK dealers.
