Dacia Logan MCV Stepway adds butch to the Logan Estate
The Dacia Logan MCV Stepway has been revealed as a Logan Estate with rugged off-road looks, getting a raised ride height and some new equipment.
Dacia are still going from strength to strength selling cars which look old and drive like they came from the last century. But it seems the low headline price drags punters in.Now, to cash-in on the world and his wife’s love affair with all things high riding on four wheels, Dacia has taken the Logan Estate, bumped up the ride height, added a few butch bits and created this – the Dacia Logan MCV Stepway.
The ground clearance has been increased by 50mm, there’s a two-tone bumper with a chrome skid plate, a set of front fogs and some LED running lights to make the front look butch.
The launch cars come in a choice of Azurite Blue or Mink (which sounds like beige), gets a set of 16″ alloys, rear parking sensors and hill start.
Under the bonnet will be the same, rather unappealing, choice of petrol and diesel engines the regular Logan Estate gets.
Dacia hasn’t revealed pricing for the Logan MCV Stepway, but going off the price differential between the Sandero and Sandero Stepway it should start at around £8k, or £10k for a version you’d actually want to drive.
Of course, you could do the sensible thing and by a two year old Skoda Fabia Estate for the same money. Or a two year old Kia Cee’d Sportswagon. Because you’ll never gain any advantage from the raised ride height on the Logan Stepway.
You can even get a two year old Golf Estate for the same money, and even a two year old Volvo V60 at a pinch.
So why would you buy a new Dacia Logan MCV Stepway?
