New DS 3 Crossback UK prices and specs announced

The new New DS 3 Crossback – a compact SUV from Citroen’s ‘posh’ brand – goes on sale in the UK in May with prices from £21,550.

DS Automobiles – the upmarket French brand we knew better as a Citroen badge – finally got a car which could be a proper seller with the arrival last September of the DS 3 Crossback.

But despite arriving in public five months ago, you still haven’t been able to buy one in the UK, and you won’t be able to until May. But at least you’ll now know how much the DS 3 Crossback will cost as DS announce prices and specs for the UK.

Starting point is the DS 3 Crossback Elegance with 1.2 litre three-pot petrol with 99bhp, which comes with 17″ alloys, digital dash, 7″ touchscreen infotainment, parking sensors at the back, Lane Keep, Traffic Sign Recognition and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

But in the UK it’s likely to be the Performance Line models which garner the bulk of sales, with prices starting from £22,950 for the 99bhp version and £25,950 for the 128bhp version, with added goodies including 17″ black alloys, 3D LED lights, Privacy Glass, Alcantara trim and aluminium pedals. There’s also a 153bhp version and a 99bhp diesel on offer (but not on all trims).

Prestige models top the tree – and start from £24,950 – and get Climate, auto wipers, parking sensors at the front, 10″ infotainment, Sat Nav and leather interior, with the Prestige Ultra adding 18″ alloys, HUD, reversing camera, LED Matrix lights, signature watchstrap Nappa leather and massaging for the driver.

There’s also an all-singing, all-dancing La Premiere Edition from £32,450 and the electric DS 3 Crossback E-Tense will arrive on sale in the summer too.
