New Ford Kuga SUV costs from £24k
Ford has announced prices for the new Kuga SUV, with the entry-level model costing from £23,995 but the cheapest plug-in hybrid costs from £33,095.
We all know Ford is rapidly moving to a purveyor of SUVs and Mustangs (and the two together), and little else, in the UK, and one of the mainstays of that path is the new Ford Kuga, revealed in April.Complete with a new Platform, a head-on look that appears to have been borrowed wholesale from the Focus, it comes with a new range of engines, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid, and promises to be sound competition for the opposition in the family car SUV stakes.
Now the new Ford Kuga is going on sale in the UK, and it’s pricing starts at a competitive £23,995, although you’re going to have to pay at least £33,095 if you want a Kuga you can plug-in and pretend it’s an EV on your (shortish) daily commute.
Starting point for the new Kuga is the Kuga Zetec with wireless charging and advanced safety tech, with a Kuga Titanium First Edition starting at £28,145 and adding B&O Sound, cameras, Adaptive Cruise and Traffic Sign Recognition and available with all powertrains including the new plug-in hybrid which costs £33,995 – the same as the 2.0 litre EcoBlue version.
The Kuga First Edition models can be had in Titanium, ST Line and ST Line X trims, complete with sporty bits and sports suspension and 12.3″ digital instruments when the new Kuga arrives in Ford’s UK showrooms early next year.
