New Honda Civic Type R (almost) revealed
Last month we had confirmation that the new Honda Civic Type R will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month in production guise, and Honda are warming up for the reveal with the first official photos, and extra details.
Honda has fitted the Civic Type R with an aerodynamic Package that uses an almost flat underbody, front splitter, shaped side skirts, rear diffuser and big back wing to create downforce and make the car very slippery.

The car will also get four-piston Brembo calipers on the 350mm discs at the front, sitting behind unique 19″ Type R alloys.
The production Type R also has a nose with round fogs and enlarged upper and lower grills with vents above the wheels on the front quarter panels and on the trailing edge of the front wheel arches for better cooling.
Leon Brannan, Honda’s UK Head of Car, Said:
We’ve already seen huge customer interest for this much anticipated and unique car with over 100 orders already in the bank. With the release of these new technical details I think we can expect many more.
The new Honda Civic Type R will debut at Geneva next month – resplendent in Championship White – with UK deliveries starting in the summer.
