New Land Rover Defender
The new Land Rover Defender – which will debut in 2019 – appears on a promo video from Land Rover promoting its availability in the USA.
We’re finally starting to see real progress on the arrival of the all new Land Rover Defender, with JLR now committed to revealing the new Defender in 2019.
It’s taken a very long time to get here, and plenty of false starts, but Land Rover are now busy teasing the new Defender, and busy testing it.
Most importantly, in JLR’s eyes, seems to be that the new Defender will actually be sold in North America, which is why they’ve taken the new Defender to the USA to test it, and why they’ve put their North American Sales and Marketing VP, Kim McCullough, behind the wheel of the new Defender for a bit of promo.
Ms McCullough tells us that the new Defender is the most highly anticipated car launch ever (well, it has been ‘anticipated’ for more than seven years), that the new Defender will be the most capable and durable yet, that Land Rover lovers won’t be disappointed in it (she didn’t go quite as far as Gerry McGovern a few years ago), and that it will be instantly recognisable as a ‘Defender’. Which all sounds terrific.
And it will, no doubt, continue to be plugged in such a way for many, many months to come.
