The 2019 Mercedes-AMG A45 will debut shortly, ahead of which Mercedes are busy teasing its Drift mode with this new tease video.
The new Mercedes A-Class Hatch was revealed at the start of 2019 as Mercedes renewed their entry-level model to keep it competitive against a rising tide of ‘Premium’ offerings.
Since then, we’ve seen the new A-Class go on sale in the UK, and the news that the A-Class saloon will be heading to the UK to add to the range of body styles on offer.
Not only that, we’ve also had a ‘Warm’ Hatch A-Class arrive in the guise of the new A 35 from AMG, and January will see the debut of the new 2019 CLA to add to the A-Class range.
But so far we haven’t seen any sign of the new A-Class performance halo – the Mercedes A 45 AMG – in production guise, but if this new tease video for the A45 is anything to go by it’s getting close, certainly in Hatch guise.
With power expected to be comfortably more than 400bhp from it’s 2.0 litre turbo, four-wheel drive from its 4MATIC and, just like AMG GT 4-Door, a drift mode to let owners play hooligan (only on closed roads, of course) the new A45 AMG promises much.
Check out its hooligan side in the video below.
