The new Morgan Aero 8 has been revealed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show with a raft of improvements and a price tag that will upset Aero SuperSports owners.

New Morgan Aero 8 gets MUCH more affordable
The new Morgan Aero 8 has been teased for a few weeks by Morgan ahead of its reveal at the Geneva Motor Show, but now it’s here, much improved in its latest iteration and set to upset Morgan’s Aero Supersports owners.
But instead of costing £127,000 – as the SuperSports does – the new Aero 8 will start from a much more affordable £79,000, despite a raft of improvements and a front end and engine that’s much the same. SuperSports owners might be a little miffed.
Those improvements include much improved stiffness for the aluminium chassis, new front suspension and a limited slip diff, with power still coming from the 367bhp 4.8 litre BWM V8, with either a six-speed manual or six speed auto gearbox (Morgan’s shouldn’t have auto boxes – please note when you’re placing your order!).
Although the front end of the new Aero 8 is much the same, from the A-Pillar back there’s plenty that’s new.
Although the Aero 8 is a canvas-roofed convertible, you can have an (extra cost) removable hardtop, but if you stick with the soft top it now stows under a new rear-hinged clamshell boot – a Morgan first, and there’s new doors and back wings as well as that new clamshell boot.
Inside there are improvements too, with the usual leather and wood, box-weave carpets, new switches and instruments and even Touchscreen Infotainment as an option.
The new Morgan Aero 8 will start to roll out of Morgan’s Malvern factory later in 2015 – starting at a relatively bargain price of £79,000 – although Morgan say they’re all sold for the next year.
