New Suzuki Swift Sport on sale in the UK in June – with a 30 day DISCOUNT

The new 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport – Suzuki’s rival for the new Ford Fiesta ST – goes on sale in the UK on 1 June, and there’s a £1,500 discount if you buy in the first 30 days.

The 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport arrived at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year, and it’s now about to go on sale in the UK – from 1 June – and Suzuki are doing what they can to get buyers in to showrooms to order in quick sticks, with an offer of a £1,500 discount if you place your order before the end of June.

Already £1k cheaper than the new Ford Fiesta ST at £17,995, the £1,500 discount makes the new Swift Sport something of a bargain at £16,495.

That said, the Swift Sport is a chunk down on power compared to the Fiesta’s almost 200bhp, delivering a much more modest 138bhp from its 1.4 litre petrol. But the Swift Sport is lighter and will get to 62mph in 8.1 seconds, helped by more torque than the last Swift Sport, which should make it feel livelier than the headline power suggests.

Standard equipment includes bucket seats, red highlights in the cabin, Climate, Sat Nav, Privacy Glass, DAB, Bluetooth, LED running lights, rear-view camera, 17″ alloys, 7″ touchscreen and electric windows.

Technology stuff includes Suzuki’s dual lane departure system, lane keep assist, and advanced forward detection with Dual Sensor Brake Support which warns of forward obstacles and throws in brake assist to increase brake force if the driver then panic brakes.

The 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport is available in a choice of six colours – one solid and five metallic – at no extra cost and can be ordered from Suzuki’s main dealers at £16,495. But remember, that goes up to £17,995 in July.
