The Nissan Navara Pick-up gets a raft of tweaks including a Euro 6 2.3 litre diesel with improved economy and reduced emissions.
The new Nissan Navara only arrived in the UK earlier this year to grab Nissan’s share of the ‘Pick-up that’s a car’ market, but it’s already getting a tweak or two.
Top of the upgrades is the arrival of a Euro 6 compliant version of the 2.3 litre diesel engine, with both the twin-turbo 190PS and single turbo 160PS versions getting a bit more economical and a bit less polluting in the process.
Nissan say the Euro 6 engines reduce COS emissions by 8g/km and improve economy by 1.4mpg, but the biggest improvement is the addition of a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system.
Nissan has fitted the SCR to cut NOx, and it comes with an AdBlue tank to fuel the emissions cleaning (on the opposite side to the fuel filler so you don’t get confused) which holds 17 litres – enough for just over 7,000 miles of exhaust cleaning.
Other tweaks to the Navara include the fitting of stop-start as standard on all manual Navaras, and cruise control, Bluetooth audio and multi-function steering wheel all now come as standard across the range.
