Overfinch has revealed the Range Rover London Edition as a one-off Range Rover with extensive marquetry depicting London. Costs £249,990.
Many would argue that Land Rover’s Range Rover is the finest luxury SUV you can buy, although the Bentley Bentayga may now have a claim, as may the Rolls Royce SUV when that arrives. But the Range Rover’s supremacy hasn’t stopped specialist companies attempting to make it ‘better’, and the latest take on that is the Range Rover London Edition from Overfinch – boasting a price tag of £249,990. Which may be its biggest selling point.
Overfinch has taken the Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 Supercharged LWB as a starting point (list price £110k) and then gone slightly berserk inside with 5,500 individual pieces of veneer, shell and stainless steel creating London landmarks all round the cabin.
Each of the door cards gets a different collection of London buildings, and Overfinch has tried to inject a bit of fun by throwing in the odd stray London bus for effect.
The marquetry work took 250 hours to complete, with each piece cut by hand and placed in to the American burr walnut veneer, with sand shading used to create depth. It may not be quite a André Charles Boulle piece – and Overfinch aren’t exactly creating works of art for The Sun King – but it looks effective.
Other titivations to create the London Edition include an Overfinch BodyStyling Package, Overfinch Grille, Overfinch tailpipes, exposed carbon fibre highlights and 22” Tora Alloys in gloss black.
Overfinch say this Range Rover London Edition is a one-off, but if it sells before you shout, and you really want one, we rather think Overfinch will do the honours if you have £250k to spare.

Pete says
£250k for a Range Rover? You’d want your bloody marbles feeling.
