Peugeot 3008 SUV is a USED price star at Trade Auction
The New Peugeot 3008 – now it’s turned in to a proper urban SUV – is proving to be a used value star with trade auction prices exceeding all expectations.
It’s a bit over a year since the new Peugeot 3008 was revealed – and less than that since it arrived on UK roads – and although the idea of turning the slightly unloved 3008 MPV in to an urban SUV in the new generation seemed obvious, it’s remarkable how good a car it’s turned out to be.We’ve spend time with a couple of 3008s this year, and a couple of months ago we had the 3008 GT LIne in for review and reckoned is was as good as anything in its class.
Not only is the new 3008 an appealing looking car, it still manages to look individual in a sea of competitors, has a frankly terrific cabin, clever detailing and is actually a fun drive, especially with the little 1.2 litre 3-pot petrol engine.
Now, with the first trade auctions of used 3008s taking place, Peugeot dealers have been falling over themselves to grab a used 3008 to quench demand from buyers.
The launch auction for Peugeot Dealers saw a dozen 3008s going under the hammer achieving an impressive 119 per cent of CAP book value, with an Allure 1.2 PureTech EAT6 hitting a huge 130 per cent of its book value.
Martin Gurney, Peugeot’s UK Fleet and USed Director, said:
The All-New PEUGEOT 3008 SUV has delivered once again, achieving outstanding results at its launch auction.
Dealers are experiencing high demand for the car, and the first used examples will be a very appealing proposition for customers. Making these available at a closed auction ensures that the PEUGEOT Dealer network has full visibility over the best stock.
All of which may well see used value predictions of the 3008 being modified, making it an even more appealing and affordable new buy too.
