The new New Peugeot 308 Tech Edition (pictured) is available as a Hatch or Estate
The Peugeot 308 gets a new Tech Edition model, sitting above the Allure trim and delivering additional technology. Cost from £22,400.
The current Peugeot 308 is a car far more able and appealing than you might think, but it gets a bit lost in all the noise around Peugeot’s, very good, 3008 and 5008 SUVs.But if you want a family hatch that’s good looking, good to drive and very practical, the 308 makes a great alternative to the, perhaps more obvious, Ford Focus and VW Golf (and the 308 GTi is very, very good.)
To add appeal to the 308 range, and bring the latest technology and driver assist systems in one package, Peugeot has decided the 308 needs a new model – the 308 Tech Edition.
Available as a Hatch or SW (Estate) gets a driver assist package with Adaptive Cruise and Automatic Emergency Braking, and a Safety Pack including Driver Attention Alert, Smartbeam Assistance, Speed Limit Recognition, Active Lane Keep and Active Blind Spot.
Other nice to haves include parking sensors front and back, City Park, Reversing Camera, power fording door mirrors, Climate and LED front interior lighting.
Inside you get aluminium pedals and door sill, passengers eat lumbar adjustment, Alcantara seats with orange and blue details and sports front seats.
Exterior titivations include chrome grille and window trim, panoramic glass roof, halogen Fogs, 17″ Rubis alloys and roof bars for the estate.
David Peel, Peugeot UK MD, said:
The addition of the Tech Edition to PEUGEOT 308 means technology, safety, comfort and convenience are available in an affordable package for consumers. The list of safety and driver assistance features are impressive and provide drivers with everything they need for modern motoring. The 308 has always been a popular car for us and we are confident the Tech Edition will help continue and broaden its appeal.
You can have the 308 Tech Edition with either the 1.2 litre PureTech 130 or 1.5 litre BlueHDi 130, with manual or auto ‘box. Prices start at £22,400, and the 308 Tech Edition is now on sale in the UK.
