Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo Electric ‘Allroad’ on Video
The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo – an electric ‘Allroad’ Porsche – made a surprise debut at Geneva and loloks a production certainty as Porsche highlights its abilities on video.
One of the surprises at the Geneva Motor Show this week has been the reveal of the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo, a complicated three-way love child of the Mission E and Panamera Sport Turismo, with hints of a squashed Cayenne, with off-road pretensions and big performance. Porsche call it a CUV. Audi would call it an Allroad.Porsche are billing the Mission E Cross Turismo as a concept, but it’s clear Porsche are planning it as a second electric car to follow the Mission E and establish Porsche as a real force in premium EVs.
Under the skin, the EV powertrain is the same as the Mission E’s, which means a 600bhp thrust of instant electric power, 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds, a 250 mile charge in 15 minutes anda range of more than 300 miles.
The fact that Porsche has gone to the trouble of delivering what looks like a production-ready Mission E Sport Turismo on video, highlighting everything from its slick multi-screen interior to its inductive charging, makes it pretty clear this is an electric Porsche heading in to production.
