Rolls-Royce Cullinan desert dunes in Dubai
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is on its ‘Final Challenge’ testing ahead of a debut, and here it’s on video getting to grips with the sand dunes in Dubai.
A couple of weeks ago we reported that the Roll-Royce Cullinan – Rolls-Royce’s Phantom on stilts – was embarking on a final testing phase round the world ahead of its expected debut at the Paris Motor Show in the Autumn. The plan was to start in Scotland (which they did on the day we ran the story) before heading to Austria and then on to the Middle East and on to the USA.
The whole adventure is being chronicled by Cory Richards for National Geographic (you can follow the adventures on a Cullinan hub on National Geographic’s site) where you’ll find some great photos and video too.
But the video from Rolls-Royce now the Cullinan has hit Dubai does a lot to demonstrate that the Cullinan is not going to be just a high-riding Phantom soft roader, but a properly capable SUV with proper off-road chops, because in the sand dunes it looks properly capable and able – good for Middle East sales, no doubt.
But coupled with that proper off-road ability will be an SUV which offers Phantom levels of interior and the same 6.75 litre too, and with prices expected to hit £300k it will be in a league of its own when it arrives later in 2018.
