Well it looks like the Rolls Royce Ghost tease is nearly over – at least for some of us.
Scheduled at the moment to show at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the Rolls Royce Ghost is getting closer, as evidenced by the recent pictures of an undisguised Rolls Royce Ghost we’ve seen. But for a select bunch of people the wait is just a couple of weeks, not three months.
We have learnt that Rolls Royce are busy arranging a private shindig, and are shipping potential RR4 customers in to Cannes between the 2nd and 4th July for a private reveal of the Rolls Royce Ghost in all its glory. Which of course absolutely confirms that the Ghost will be at Frankfurt, as that is the next major motor show, and the Ghost is obviously now production ready if Rolls Royce are happy to show it off to private buyers.
And the lucky select number should have plenty to peruse. The design of the Ghost seems to have gelled nicely, and with its stainless steel bonnet option it looks better than its big brother Phantom. It is all polished wood and supple leather on the inside, but will get a plethora of electronic gizmos and gadgets to keep the customer satisfied, although many will probably be hidden from view, as in the Phantom.
The Ghost also gets the trick air suspension system we reported on yesterday, which we hopes works as well as promised, and should allow the 6.6 litre engine to give of its best on the road. And Rolls Royce are expecting big things from the Ghost, as evidenced by the creation of new jobs at Rolls Royce recently, so I hope they’ve got everything just right.
Sadly, we won’t be going to the private launch, but when we get more info you’ll be the first to know.

my guess for what it’s worth is it might cost a bit more than that to get on the invite list for the ghost.

So how do I get on the invite list for the unveiling of the Rolls Royce Ghost in Cannes? Do I need to slip someone a fiver?
