Smart BRABUS range costs from £16,320 to £20,610 in the UK

The Smart Brabus range is now on sale in the UK, with the more powerful Brabus costing from £16,320 for the ForTwo rising to £21,630 for the ForTwo Xclusive Cabrio.

The new Smart car is a much better, more rounded car than the original, even if it’s still a bit on the pricey side. But if you want to spend even more you can now have one of the new Smart Brabus range, hitting the UK from £16,320.

The Smart Brabus range, unlike the Smart Brabus Sport Line range, does actually come with a bit more power than the normal Smart, with a boost from 89bhp up to 107bhp from the 898cc turbo engine, as well as Brabus Performance Sports Suspension, Sports Power Steering and a dual-clutch auto with a race start function. All of which could be considered a bit ambitious for an 898cc Smart.

The Smart Brabus comes as a ForTwo, ForTwo Cabrio or ForFour, with the ForTwo starting at £16,320, the ForFour at £16,815 and the ForTwo Cabrio at £18,460.

Being based on the entry-level Smart Passion means the Brabus comes with Smart Audio, Climate, Cruise and leather steering wheel, but the Brabus spec adds in new badging, Brabus sports steering wheel, seats and sports pedals as well as 16″ (front) and 17″ (rear) alloys.

Extra money (£845) buys you a Premium Package of height adjustable driver’s seat, heated electric door mirrors, rear parking sensors and Smart Media, and a Night Sky option (£625) adds a fabric folding sunroof to the ForFour.

Go completely daft and spend an extra £3,170, and Smart will gild your Brabus with an Xclusive pack with Brabus leather, bi-fabric dash, Brabus floor mats, Xclusive badges, as well as a Premium Plus Package adding ambient lighting, rear view camera, auto lights and wipers and cornering fogs.

Do all that, and your Smart ForFour with all the toys comes out at £20,610, and the ForTwo Cabrio at £21,630. Which is about what you’d pay for a three year old Mercedes S Class.
