Subaru Forester (pictured) gets a mild facelift for 2016
The Subaru Forester SUV – Subaru’s best-selling UK model – gets a bit of a facelift and more equipment for 2016. Prices remain unchanged.
The Subaru Forester SUV isn’t the best-selling car in its class by any means, but it is a dependable and capable SUV; a proper grown-up choice, if you like. The appeal of the Forester is being enhanced for 2016 as Subaru rolls out some fairly subtle cosmetic updates, and equipment improvements, to make their best-selling UK model more appealing, despite which prices will remain unchanged.
The cosmetic changes are pretty much what you’d expect for a mild facelift, with a new mesh grille and chrome titivations to the front bumper, black detailing for the headlights and LED tail lights, more soft touch materials on the inside, new Piano Black and Chrome trims, more upholstery choices and higher resolution TFT display.
Subaru has also added extra soundproofing and thicker windows for a more serene cabin, quicker steering for better response on road and tweaked suspension for more comfort on rough surfaces.
The engine range – petrol and diesel Boxer engines – and the CVT ‘box remain unchanged, as do prices, which start from £25,495 for the 2.0i XE.
The 2016 Subaru Forester goes on sale in Subaru’s UK dealers in April.
