Volkswagen Street Up & Club Up! on sale – cost from £11,995

Volkswagen has announced two special editions of the Up! City car – the Street Up and Club Up – with extra equipment and styling. Price from £11,995.

The VW Up! is a decent little city car, and now there are a couple of extra options for buyers looking for something to run around town in – the Street Up! and City Up!

Both the Street Up and City Up! are based on the High Up! trim, which means they already come with a decent spec including heated front seats, Maps & More Infotainment and front fogs.

But if you opt for the Street Up! you will also get 16″ Upsilon alloys, Pure White, Black Pearl or Reflex Silver paint job, privacy glass, silver mirrors, ‘Street’ badges, body-coloured bumpers and Street upholstery.

The Club Up! gets 16″ Triangle alloys, Blueberry metallic or Black Pearl  paint job, privacy glass, Club Tartan upholstery. ‘Club’ badges and silver wing mirrors.

Both the Street Up! and Club Up! are powered by the Up’s most powerful engine – the 1.0 litre 75PS three-pot – and get a 5-speed manual gearbox. Economy is rated at 60.1mpg and emissions at 108g/km.

The prices are the same whether you opt for the Street Up or Club Up, with the 3-door costing £11,995 and the 5-door £12,370.

Both are now on sale in VW’s UK showrooms, with first deliveries in March 2015
