Ford Fiesta ST Performance Edition
Ford launches a limited edition Fiesta ST – the Ford Fiesta ST Performance Edition – for the UK market, with orange paint, 18″ alloys and coilover suspension.
The new Ford Fiesta ST arrived last year, and it’s a cracking little car at a sensible price, offering bags of fun in an appealing and well executed package. But nearly a year on from the arrival of the new ST, Ford thinks there’s room for a special edition model to keep punters queuing for the little hot hatch, so the UK is getting a limited run – just 600 units – of the Ford Fiesta ST Performance Edition.
Based on the Fiesta ST-3 trim, the Performance Edition gets a raft of Ford Performance Parts including 18″ Performance Alloys and performance coilover suspension with stainless steel damper housing and Ford Performance blue springs.
That means the ride height is reduced by 15mm at the front and 10mm at the back, with manual adjustment with 12 bump settings and 16 rebound settings so you can make a complete mess of things without really trying.
Standard equipment includes LED headlights, B&O Sound and ST Performance Pack with Quaife limited slip diff, launch control and shift light indicators.
Ford hasn’t decided how much the ST Performance Edition will cost when it goes on sale in June, but say it will cost at least £3k more than the ST-3. Which will make it the wrong side of £25k.
