Salon Privé 2011: Night Shift

Salon Prive Pommery Picnic

Salon Prive does a Night Shift for the Pommery Picnic

Salon Prive 2011 – which has moved to Syon Park – will include an evening ‘Pommery Picnic’ on the Friday evening for the first time

It may be a bit of an exagerration to say that Salon Privé – one of our favourite ‘Car’ outings – is going to include a night shift in 2011 – but almost.

Salon Prive’s move from the Hurlingham in Chelsea out to the less central – but more hospitable – Duke of Northumberland’s gaff at Syon Park means there’s room to expand the event, so we’re getting treated to the ‘Pommery Picnic’ on the Friday evening – 7pm ’til 11pm.

As we never fail to mention when we bang on about Salon Prive, it’s just like a Garden Party in a wealthy friend’s house where he just happens to have littered the grounds with the world’s greatest cars.

To add to the joy of endless beautifull metal, there’s bubbles on demand and lobster by the bucket load. And for this year’s ‘Pommery Picnic’ there’s also gong to be a Live Jazz band to add to the atmosphere.

But the cars are the real stars and this year’s Salon Prive has signed up the usual culprits, including the pick of the UK’s top end in Jaguar, Land Rover, Bentley, Rolls Royce and Aston Martin.

This year Salon Prive has been brought forward and will run on 22-24th June and tickets for the evening do on the Friday will be £95.00.

And you can drive and park this year. Although, with endless Champagne, that may not be the best plan.
