The MINi Countryman is getting a small facelift for 2014/2015 as MINI refreshes its ‘big’ MINI to make it look a little more like the new MINI Hatch.

The MINI that’s far from mini – the MINI Countryman – is getting a bit of a refresh for 2014 with a minor facelift to take it through to an all-new MINi Countryman in 2016.
It’s the usual facelift fodder for the Countryman with a new nose incorporating a new grill with big lower scoop, red ‘S’ badges for the quicker models, LED fog lights, new alloys and underbody guards for the All4 4WD versions. There’s also new colour choices including Jungle Green metallic, Midnight Grey metallic and Starlight Blue metallic.
Inside, the displays and controls have been redesigned with anthracite-coloured dials for the rev counter and speedo, a JCW logo on the dials in JCW models and chrome finish for the ventilation controls on the regular Countryman models.
Across the range the Countryman gets more efficient too thanks to MINI’s ‘MINIMALISM’ technology, which sees emissions for the Cooper S fall to 139g/km and the Cooper D to 111g/km and the Cooper S gets an upgarded 1.6 litre Turbo with 190bhp and 177lb/ft of torque, imroving the 0-62mph sprint to 7.5 seconds.
The 2014 MINi Countryman goes on sale in the UK in June after its debut at the New York Auto Show this week.
